Our research lab is now based in the Department of Chemistry, in the main research tower / building in central campus.

The synthetic chemistry section of the Department at Manchester is large and dynamic with a wide range of work in catalysis, new methodologies and reactions, polyaromatics and other materials-directed chemistry, physical organic, mechanical-chemistry molecular machines, complex target synthesis, as well as bioorganic chemistry, medical chemistry and chemical biology-directed synthesis. As a researcher where you are part of a diverse and cutting edge community across the whole of organic chemistry including inter-disciplinary science, and have access to all modern analytical methods necessary. 

Our lab collaborates with groups in other locations in Manchester on certain projects (eg with others in Chemistry or Life Sciences) and elsewhere in the UK and overseas, particularly on biologically-related carbohydrate applications.
